Ice and Revolution (3-5 Brewfest 586 OY, 9/??/98) On the way back they meet Mojo, who tags along. To celebrate the clearing of the tomb, and because they need little excuse, the hobbits throw a feast. Camen drinks all of their beer and starts fighting everyone. The hobbits pile on top of him and knock him out, but the mood is soured. The next day, Olo (town patriarch) insists on inspecting the tomb. He, Culati (an overly curious hobbit lass), Mojo, Oolsen, Camen, and Elmarth set out again. Just outside town, the old hobbit Moni prophecies doom for all if the tomb is tampered with, but Olo dismisses her ravings, saying she's been talking crazy lately.

Inside the tomb, the Hook Horror rises up as a zombie and attacks, but Olo easily Turns Undead and destroys it. Olo and Elmarth get in a heated argument over religion, resulting in Olo casting Hold Person on Elmarth and Camen. They set their differences aside when they find Ice and a dozen or so mind-controlled shepherds and guards ringing the tomb entrance. Somehow the PCs fight back without slaughtering the hobbits, and without taking too much hurt from the hobbit's hail of missile fire. Camen tries to break the mind control with his music, but it doesn't quite work. Mojo pins Ice with Entangle, but Ice vanishes just as Elmarth is about to skewer him. As Ice goes, his victims recover their senses. Inside the tomb, Olo has been hit by a small crossbow quarrel and is comatose. Culati is nowhere to be found.

They carry Olo back to the village. The inhabitants panic when they hear what has happened. Wangori, one of the village's older warrior-types with an eccentric habit of wearing a horned full helm, takes the unexpected step of taking advantage of the confusion to stage a coup d'etat. Saying the old leaders cannot handle the threat of Ice, she has them locked up. Them being Olo, his priestess wife Ardali, and their acolytes. Wangori then starts giving orders, sending out search parties and calling for the construction of a fortress. The PCs are all acquiescing or encouraging her at this point.

Eventually a mob forms and goes charging off to find Ice. They find Pearball's watch tower, some ways out of the village, has been covered in ice. As they approach, some fall under Ice's control, but others bombard the tower with flaming missiles. The ice shatters in a glittering explosion and the mind control lapses. Ice seems to have vanished again, but everyone believes he is gone this time.

In the aftermath, Wangori declares that Pearball is now ruled by and for the people and banishes Olo et al. She sends the Grey Feather to the Rock of Bral to get rid of them. The PCs take advantage of the trip to get the heck out of there.
