Fun on Bral II (1-3 Patchwall 586 OY, 11/1/98 RL) The next morning, Diyab has been brought to Bral. His captors carry him in chains through seldom used passages of the undercity, destination unknown. When they are distracted by a party of attractive drow, Diyab makes a break for freedom. Scrambling out of a manhole in the streets of the city, he barrels into Elmarth and Camen. Diyab's pursuers, two men swinging chains and a woman with a flail, order them aside and Diyab to surrender. Elmarth and Camen respond by unlimbering their weapons. The men with chains are easily taken care of, but Camen spars with the woman for several rounds without effect. Outnumbered, she sneers and retreats into the sewer.

Elmarth and Camen take the grateful Diyab with them. They meet up with Mojo in the Elven grove, but all are ejected after becoming too loud. They get Diyab's shackles removed by a gnome named Otto, and clothing from Otto's associate Mishnia. They get him weapons on the Lion, but his request for a particular exotic blade takes them to Nick's Dagger Shop. Turning to food, they find that meat prices have skyrocketed since the last livestock ship didn't show up, so they settle on a pancake dinner. Diyab is almost overwhelmed at this show of charity.

Because the Hagfish is due to sail in the morning, they go to sleep on board. That night, some thugs try to sneak into Elmarth's cabin/cargo-hold. Caught, they try to attack. With the aid of the Hagfish's midget hill giant, Thump, the thugs are defeated. The PCs carve the word "criminal" into the forehead of Tasso, the leader of the assailants, and dump him in an alley.

Soon afterwards, the Hagfish sails, and one day later is hovering above the airless wastes of Kule.
