Fun on Bral III (16-17 Patchwall 586 OY, 6/22/99 RL) (GM note: A lot of little stuff happened that I might have forgotten, and some events might be out of order.) Stein whisks the kindori carcass away. Axel and Fingle stayed on the Dardak, while Camen and Mojo went into the city. after Camen enchants some tavern-goers with his Aldo playing, they sell 11 shares in some sort of company (for 20 g.p. each). One of the promises of the contract is to return double the investors' money in 6 months. The two leave, but are tailed by 4 tough sailors. The sailors talk tough, but flee when Camen skewers the big one and Mojo brandishes a Flame Blade. Mojo stitches up the wound. Seeking to carouse, they are disappointed to find Utnapishtim's cafe' haunted only by slovenly trulls. Mojo then tracks down the beautiful but expensive hobbit lady of the evening (Bral I), Viola, at the Koalinth Inn. Mojo feels too guilty to do business, however. Kennick the barkeep claims to know someone looking for Axel. Camen visits the temple of Celestian to donate 50 g.p. Erpa, apparently a priest, thanks him. Camen and Mojo go shopping for supplies, and are asked about Axel by Katona the ale dealer.

Back at the ship, Axel Locates a tinker gnome ship. With Fingle, they misdirect a dock official who is upset with some tinker-gnome "repairs" in progress. They invite the gnomes to inspect the Dardak for possible repairs and upgrades. The gnomes enthusiastically accept, and soon a team of 5 is on board. After some planning, some leave to price the parts they need. The rest stay and install track-curtain webbing in the bulkheadless hold.

Camen and Mojo return and confront Axel. Reluctantly he reveals something about his past. The gnomes then present their full estimate of 25000 g.p. The party manages to reduce their ambitions to fixing the tail section (with rope) and investigating a steam-driven wing-manipulation system for a few hundreds (?) of g.p. To speed the repair time to 2 days, they allot some funds to buy a supply of stimulant pipeweed.

A giff dock official ("Private" Melnar) shows up to inspect the helm, but Camen pays him off to come back the next day. The giff suggests that if they want some help getting helm registration papers, they should mention his name at Utnapishtim's.

After night falls on the city, Mojo, Fingle, and Axel pay a visit to the Hagfish. En route, Mojo runs into Tasso. Tasso seems upset about his face being carved up, and hoists Mojo up by the collar for a while. But Tasso seems more interested in finding Elmarth or Camen, and dumps Mojo. On the Hagfish, Fingle and Axel case out the possibility of stealing the catapult.
